Shipping Policy

Our sea moss gel is a fresh, perishable food product — we pack every order carefully so it reaches you in great condition. Here is exactly how M.A.D MO$$ handles shipping.

Order processing

Orders are handcrafted in small batches in Silver Spring, Maryland. We process and pack orders within 1–2 business days(Monday–Friday, excluding holidays). Because the gel is made fresh, we ship early in the week whenever possible to avoid parcels sitting in transit over a weekend.

Perishable / cold-pack shipping

Sea moss gel should be kept refrigerated. Orders are shipped with ice packs and insulated packaging so the product stays cool in transit. On arrival, refrigerate your gel promptly. It is normal for ice packs to partially thaw during shipping — the gel is still good as long as it is cool to the touch. Refrigerate on delivery and consume within the window noted on your jar.

Shipping methods & delivery times

  • Nationwide (U.S.): shipped via expedited service (typically 1–3 business days in transit) to protect the perishable product.
  • DMV local (DC / Maryland / Virginia): local delivery or pickup may be available — options are shown at checkout when eligible.
  • Estimated delivery times are provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed. Total time = processing time + carrier transit time.

Shipping rates

Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your address, order weight, and the packaging required to keep the product cold. The rate you see at checkout is the final shipping charge.

Delayed, lost, or damaged shipments

Once a package leaves our hands, transit is handled by the carrier. If your order is significantly delayed, arrives damaged, or does not arrive, contact us within 48 hours of the delivery date at mrhwgd@gmail.com with your order number and photos (for damage). Because the product is perishable, prompt reports let us make it right quickly — see our Refund & Returns Policy.

Incorrect addresses

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We are not able to reroute a perishable order once it has shipped, and we are not responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address provided at checkout. If a package is returned to us as undeliverable, we will reach out about reshipping (additional shipping charges may apply).
